Took my young nephew to a renaissance faire. Afterwards we sat together in the back of the family truckster playing some strange version of rock paper scissors in which he kept wanting to grant the winner new skills with special powers. To keep them all straight and to figure out how they related to the other options, I wrote them down. This exercise also kept me from having to play the same old game for an hour while arguing over who wins when he plays monster and I play pirate.

We stopped off for a bite to eat and he got a three-pack of crayons. We played with the crayons while taking him home. He colored inside the lines and I colored without any lines to color inside or outside of.
